Cage The Elephant Cover The Stooges At Jersey Live 2008

Cage The Elephant covered the The Stooges classic �I Wanna Be You Dog� as they performed on day two of the Jersey Live festival this afternoon (August 31st).


Playing under notably overcast skies compared to yesterday�s fine sunshine, the group, lead by frontman Matt Shultz, were on raucous manakin.



In addition to playing a feast of songs from their debut album, they also previewed modern material during their nine song set.


Although the group emerged on stage inconspicuously, singer Shultz soon caught the crowd�s attention by introducing the band high school on the helium from a balloon.


They then ran through a relentless correct that indisposed during new song �Judgement Day�, when the vocalizer jumped into the crowd.


Shultz then introduced the terminal song of the afternoon, The Stooges� �I Wanna Be Your Dog�, by asking how many of the crowd together have heard of Iggy Pop.


�He is like God,� he added, ahead launching into the track.
